Deep frequencies from the Earth.
Who Is Nokose?
Nokose is an experimental bass producer from the Southeastern United States whose music draws inspiration from Muskogee heritage, nature, and the physical power of low frequency sound. The name Nokose, meaning “bear” in Muscogee, reflects the grounded and intentional energy behind his project — steady, powerful, and deeply connected to the natural world.
Blending deep sub-bass, tribal percussion, and atmospheric textures, Nokose creates immersive sonic environments that sit somewhere between ritual and modern bass music. His productions emphasize space, rhythm, and physical low-end frequencies designed to be experienced on real sound systems.
Growing up in the Southeast, Nokose developed a strong connection to both nature and bass culture, influences that now shape the identity of his sound. His music moves between meditative and heavy, balancing hypnotic rhythms with spacious sound design and organic textures.
Outside of music, Nokose works as a licensed massage therapist specializing in advanced bodywork techniques such as myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and neuromuscular therapy. This background informs his approach to sound — crafting music that interacts with the body through vibration, rhythm, and nervous system response.
The result is bass music that feels both grounding and expansive: deep frequencies from the earth designed to move the body, calm the mind, and connect listeners to something deeper.
